British Sign Language (BSL) is the sign language used in the United Kingdom. It is related to French Sign Language (LSF), but also has influences from American Sign Language (ASL) and Irish Sign Language (ISL).

BSL has a number of advantages over other spoken languages:

What are the Advantages of British Sign Language

      1. It is a visual language, so it can be used even when people are deaf or hard of hearing.
      2. It is a complete language with its own grammar and syntax.
      3. It is easy to learn for people who are deaf or hard of hearing.
      4. It is an international language, understood by millions of people around the world.
